 The UEFA Europa Conference League is the third major European club football competition organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The current format of the UEFA Conference League uses the same Swiss format as the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League. However, while the Champions League and the Europa League allows the lower ranked teams (9th placed - 24th placed) on the league table which fail to win their UEFA Champions League playoff matches to go on and compete in the playoff matches of the lower European club competitions. The lower ranked clubs on the UEFA Conference League table (9th-24th placed) automatically get eliminated if they fail  to either win their playoff matches or fail to directly qualify to the round of 16.
